Tips to Manage Your Time While Pregnant

I've been pregnant and helped enough pregnant people to know that it can be super overwhelming to balance the demands of daily life with the physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy.

Here are six time management tips that can help you manage time more effectively and feel more rested and ready for life.

Create a schedule: I know it can feel like a pain, but sit down and create a daily or weekly schedule that outlines your necessary tasks and responsibilities. This will help you to stay on track and ensure that you don't forget important deadlines or appointments. You can also prioritize your tasks based on importance and urgency.

Take breaks: It's super important for you to sit your pregnant bootie down and take regular breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge. This can help reduce exhaustion and improve your overall mood. It's also super important to move, so you'll need to take short walks, practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation, or engage in a favorite hobby or activity.

Delegate tasks: Whenever possible, you can delegate some of her tasks to family members or friends. For example, if you have other children, they can help with household chores or errands hopefully, on a good day. This can free up some of your time and energy.

Prioritize self-care: Which self-care activities do you love most? I'm not talking showering alone or going to Costco by yourself. I'm talking things getting your nails done, taking a hike by yourself to enjoy the peace and quiet or even getting coffee with a friend.

Use technology: You can use technology to streamline some of your tasks and save time. For example, you can use online grocery shopping and delivery services, set up automatic bill payments, or use a task management apps to keep track of your to-do list.

Get support: First of all, everyone needs support sometimes. I totally encourage you to seek support from family members, friends, or a professional counselor or therapists when things are just too much. Talking to someone can help with all the feels that pregnancy brings and provide you with additional emotional support during your pregnancy.
