7 Healthy Pregnancy Tips
Being healthy and making healthy choices is hard in general. Add a tiny human dictating, from the inside what, where, when and how and healthy can seem downright impossible. Here are my tips!
Eat a balanced diet sprinkled with treats: Eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein sources. The Brewer's Diet says to aim for 100 grams of protein a day if you're a protein eating Allstar! This can help ensure that you get the nutrients you need for a healthy pregnancy and to help reduce the risk of complications.
Stay hydrated: Adopt yourself an Emotional Support Water Bottle and take it EVERYWHERE you go so you can drink plenty of water throughout the day. Staying hydrated can help prevent constipation, reduce swelling, and promote healthy blood flow to the babe.
Exercise regularly: I know some days you have no energy, but a little movement is better than none! Try your best to engage in regular physical activity, such as walking, swimming, or prenatal yoga. This can help you to maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of complications, and promote a quick and easy labor.
Get enough rest: Great sleep and rest during pregnancy needs to be a priority. This can help reduce stress levels, improve mood, and promote overall health and well-being.
Manage stress: Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as practicing relaxation techniques or engaging in self-care activities like getting a prenatal massage or taking a warm bath.
Attend your prenatal appointments: Try to attend all scheduled prenatal appointments and follow any recommendations or guidelines provided by your providers.
Seek support: As always, when you just need more help, seek support from your partner, family members, friends, or a mental health professional, or ME. Talking to others about her feelings and concerns can help you feel less isolated and overwhelmed during pregnancy.
