Birth of Maggie

Labor is one of the most intense and raw experiences a person can go through. From the moment those first contractions start, to the final push that brings your perfect babe earth-side, the journey is filled with emotion, strength, beauty and power.

I had the privilege of capturing Maggie's birth story for my client, Morgan. She started off with consistent contractions, but the intensity was not quite there yet. I suggested she try the Miles Circuit, a series of positions and movements designed to help your baby find their way out. And let me tell you, it worked like magic.

As the contractions grew stronger, I received that familiar phone call - the one that signals it's time for doula support. I quickly gathered my things and headed to Morgan's house. By the time I arrived, she was in active labor and it was clear that Maggie was almost ready to make an appearance.

We made our way to Beginnings Birth Center, where Morgan, a second time birther, trusted her instincts and her body. The water birth that followed was nothing short of stunnnnning! Morgan's grace throughout the entire process was awe-inspiring. She truly embodied the essence of a birthing goddess.
